Tequilla is the actual Spanish translation for "sleep medicine". There was no such thing as the siesta prior to the advent of this beverage...the cigar is just a nice added bonus.

I have also experienced "dueling doggies" while foolishly attempting to achieve comfortable REM sleep. It usually ended up with me watching TV with English subtitles (I fondly call this Spanish Practice).

During my last trip to Ajijic, I stumbled upon a marvelous solution to this dilemma:

A Cuban cigar (well, maybe two) and a good bottle of Tequila seem to be a magical way to sleep well and awake refreshed! While my methodology may seem to be a tad extreme to those who do not appreciate 100% Blue Agave Tequila (all grown in the great State of Jalisco!), it works for me and makes me proud to support local industry.
