Hi to all,

I have been living in the Ajijic, Lake Chapala area for approximately 15 years now, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to retire. I was born and raised in Colorado, and while searching the web, just happened to stumble upon this little town in Mexico. I must admit that I was a bit hesitant at first, seeing as though there was only one street light in town, a small supermarket, and only a one room movie theatre that played movies in spanish. My curiosity peeked when I started reading the comments about the area. I read that Ajijic is within the top 3 best climates in the world, and it was becoming the most desired retirement spot for Canadians and Americans. This was enough for me to take a little visit and see what I was missing out on.

I immediately fell in love. Now 15 years later, the Ajijic and the surrounding cities have developed quite a bit, and has all of the ammenities of any big city only in a smaller version. The first Wal-mart was recently built and we are all eagerly awaiting the new Centro Laguna Mall to be completed.

I could never dream of returning to the United States. My family loves the visits here, spending the days by the pool, drinking margaritas, enjoying the sunshine, and my son and his wife will be moving down here in September.

If you are looking for Paradise, look no further..you've already found it.
