My name is Geoffrey John Kaye, former Chairman of Pricerite Supermarkets, and I am writing this letter to you to inform your readers about Ajijic, Mexico. Originally from London then spending years in Monte Carlo and a brief time in the U.S. I bought a home in 1997 in Ajijic, Mexico after the recommendation of friends and my own exhaustive research. Ajijic is a small town 25 minutes from Guadalajara on Lake Chapala which is the largest lake in Mexico. Nestled between the Sierra Madre Mountains and Lake Chapala the year round climate is approx. 75 degrees and is reputed to be the best climate in the world. Guadalajara is a city of approx. 7,000,000 which boasts world class shopping, restaurants, schools, hospitals, historic sights and an international airport. (more…)
